I am breaking all of my rules right now and talking about a hotel while I am still staying on the property. I usually wait a few days months to post hotel reviews after our stay because I am too lazy I want to let the experience soak in a little before posting.
But today is different, because this hotel room is too good not to share. Heck, it’s not even a hotel room, as much as a palace on stilts.

We arrived late yesterday evening after an international flight. Upon arriving at the hotel, the manager of the property greeted us and gave us a private check-in experience.
After handling everything, he said we were double-upgraded into a brand new room that was just opened earlier this month (meaning we are one of the first guests to stay there). I tried to find a description of this room on the hotel website, and it doesn’t even show up yet.
I kept my expectations tempered until we got into the room, but once we got in I pretty much lost it. This room was the most incredible room I have stayed in, hands down.
So where am I staying?
Hint #1: It has equal amounts of indoor and outdoor space available.

Hint #2: It is part of a hotel chain.

That’s it for now. I plan on spending the rest of my day exploring every nook and cranny of this place.
So where am I staying? Let’s hear your guesses in the comments!
Is it an in Intercontinental?
Warmest so far…
Park Hyatt Maldives?
Nope, other side of the world
I hope its Hilton Bora Bora (soon to be Conrad if rumors are true).
Right country, wrong island :).
Intercontinental Bora Bora obviously! :)
Well, there are two IC’s in Bora Bora. Which one?
Also, it’s not either of them.
Intercontinental Bora Bora!
Warm, but not quite there.
Intercontinental Moorea?
Closest so far…
Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort?
Good guess… But wrong island
Hilton Moorea
Nope, but you can see Moorea in the bungalow picture
got to be either LeMeridien Tahiti or Intercontinental Tahiti?
I’ll give it to you. Intercontinental Tahiti. Stopover on our way to Bora Bora and their brand new overwater bungalows just blew us away. So nice, and actually quite reasonable comparatively speaking.
Are you using points or is a paid stay?.. I only see garden view rooms for award stays?
Ambassador Weekend Certificate (Paid Stay, second night free). I booked the Panoramic view (1 cat less than overwater bungalow) and was then upgraded to the new Motu Bungalows. They are much much nicer than the Junior Suites that are older.
Have a traditional award in a few weeks there and will let you know how it goes upgrade-wise.
Wow!!! Gorgeous!
