Merry Christmas from Hawaii 2018, or as we say in the islands, Mele Kalikimaka!
Last year, I got to experience my first white Christmas, which was also my first Christmas away from home. I’ve seen snow before, by the way, but this was the first time I’ve been in snow for Christmas. And while the reason for that trip wasn’t a joyful one, the time I spent in Seattle was priceless.

Christmas in Hawaii
Call me crazy, but I prefer a cold, white Christmas. In fact, I’d love to spend Christmas in someplace like Alberta and specifically Banff one day. And that, I’m sure, is opposite of what most people would want to do. It is my guess, after all, that most want to run away from the cold to someplace like Hawaii.
With that said, though, it’s nice to be home this Christmas. And, even more so since (most of) my family is home this year. I say most because everyone that should be here is, though my sister lives in Southern California now. But hey, that’s what FaceTime is for, right?

Merry Christmas from Hawaii 2018, Final Thoughts
Again, from the entire Jeffsetter team split between Hawaii and Europe at the moment, Merry Christmas. Hope you all have a wonderful, safe holiday filled with friends and family! And if you’re not able to be home this Christmas, just remember, all those days away from home is worth it. Maybe you can bring your family to Hawaii with all those points and miles you’re accumulating. ?
I’m interested, though, what’s your idea of a great Christmas holiday away from home? Or, what’s your dream Christmas destination? While Alberta is one of my dream Christmas destinations, I’d also love to spend Christmas on the Continent as Jeff and Amanda are. After all, Germany has some interesting Christmas markets and events. London would be nice too. Heck, we even liked holidays in NYC, though it was a bit too chaotic for my liking.
Merry Christmas!
